Tonisity is a global animal health and nutrition company focused on improving early-life development, gut function and overall well-being in livestock and companion animals. Founded in 2015, we now operate in more than 60 countries, supporting producers, veterinarians and distributors with practical, science-informed nutritional solutions.
We are committed to developing innovative, next-generation products that challenge conventional standards and promote healthier, more productive animals. By focusing on the small intestine, the centre of nutrient absorption and early resilience, our solutions help deliver better welfare outcomes and meaningful returns for farmers.
With a growing portfolio that serves pigs, calves, lambs, goat kids, dogs and cats, Tonisity offers a range of palatable, easy-to-use formulations designed to support gut health, encourage intake and provide reliable early-life nutritional support across species.
Our History
From a Scientific Idea to a Global Footprint
2013–2015 — The Beginning
Tonisity was founded with the goal of creating a new generation of early-life nutritional solutions. Our first formulations were developed in collaboration with experts in swine health, nutrition and critical care.
2016–2017 — Global Launch & Early Expansion
Tonisity Px was introduced at major international events, marking the world’s first isotonic protein drink for piglets. Distribution networks expanded rapidly across the Americas, Europe and Asia.
2018–2021 — New Products & Technical Capacity
Tonisity PxW and PxM were added to support post-weaning pigs and supplementary-fed litters. A dedicated pilot plant was established in Ireland, enabling further innovation.
2022–Present — Ruminant Range & Continued Growth
The Rum-X and Rum-Xm lines were developed for calves, lambs and goat kids, applying the same scientific principles proven in swine.
Tonisity continues to grow as a trusted partner in global livestock production.

SCIENCE
Some products feed the animal.
We feed their gut first.
Our R&D team have developed patented solutions containing key ingredients to nourish the intestinal cells, the enterocytes.
These cells are the final gateway for the absorption of nutrients into the body. If the enterocytes are working efficiently, then the body is better able to absorb more nutrients.
Our unique solutions contain ingredients that support the efficient function of the enterocytes. By supporting the enterocytes, we can help farm animals overcome the key production hurdles of neonatal life in farms and assists with a smooth transition through weaning.
